Paranoid

And I've got good reasons. A post explaining them better will come soon.

Just wanted to whine a little bit about the predicament of being unable to read everything at once...

Not only does mortality mean you can't read anything... time and attention means you can never read anything (of importance) right because you haven't yet read everything else ("relevant")... but of course, you can't just build the foundation of those other texts... since you can't read those right, either.

*edit*

A thing that makes me happy and feel that maybe something is going right with my mental universe, even if it consists only of sort of understanding Deleuze... I was reading beginning of the section of AO on the despot and I was like "obv this is The Great Wall of China" and I wrote it down in my Kafka notebook... and then turned the page and they were all like "obv this is the Great Wall of China." yay.

this reminds me of this time I was reading this book by Rushdie (the ground beneath her feet) and I was like - hmm this is obviously moby dick all over again - and then a few pages later the main character was totally like "call me ishmael"
